Chefs Chyren McGuire and Ty Ruiz moved to Denver in 2024 from the heart of the south. Originally from South Louisiana and Florida respectively, Chyren and Ty got their start working in the kitchens of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The two met in college and worked together under Hell’s Kitchen contestant Chef Chris Motto at Juban’s Restaurant.

Family Dinner is rooted in the simple idea that food tastes better when it’s shared, and moments matter more when we’re together. There’s something special about true Southern food— especially Cajun cuisine— that Denver misses the mark on. Family Dinner hopes to close that gap and allow our community to feel the warmth of good food, good people, and good conversation.
